Annecy International Animation Film Festival is an international film event dedicated to animated films, both short and full-length, held in the French town of Annecy.
The festival was originally a part of Cannes International Film Festival, and it became a stand-alone event since 1960.

In 2010, the Festival will be celebrating its 50th anniversary, and will be holding the 34th event.
Initially occurring every 2 years, it has become an annual event.
Alongside the Festival, the MIFA( International Animation Film Market) is held, in efforts to promote and facilitate various animation businesses as well as industry players.
The Festival is a competition among different categories such as Shorts, where the best films are awarded.

Among the Japanese creators, Mr. Kunio Kato was awarded the Annecy Crystal (Grand Prize for short films) with "The House of Small Cubes (Tsumiki no Ie)" in 2008.
Nerima Animation Association will be participating in MIFA exhibition again in 2010.
