Nerima Ward green filled district, located in North-West part of Tokyo 23 district, home to more than 700 thousand citizens is also a birthplace of Japanimation.
The very first color animation movie in Japan "The White Snake"(1958) and the very first TV series animation in Japan "Astro Boy"(1963~) were both created in studio located within Nerima Ward.
Today Nerima Ward had become the industrial center for Japanimation with more then 90 animation studio located within it's district.

Nerima Ward uphold the idea of being a center for Japanimation culture and it's industries growth, in part of their fundamental ward planing as a "Nerima Mirai Project".
In order to support the Japanimation industries ward office believes strong cooperation is a vital especially with "Nerima Animation Conference" , organized by member of animation business establishment within the district.

I hope for further development of Japanimation culture and it's industries, which were born in Nerima ward, and for Japanimation to be loved by all the fun in the world.
