On June 8th, 2011 MIFA( International Animation Film Market) , part of Annecy International Animation Film Festival opened in the French town of Annecy. Nerima Animation Association (Chairman: Mr. Ryo Ishiguro) which consists of local Anime business operators took part in MIFA. Nerima Animation Association conducted business activities proactively to many visitors including buyers from all over the world. It was their 5th time to be part of MIFA.

This year, in an attempt to appeal Japanese Anime's high technical standards, Animators, Art Directors and Color Designers who currently work at the front line in the Anime Film productions provided the demos at the booth. They showed some of their professional techniques right in front of the visitors. Demos can be seen on the video.

A message board for the Quake Disaster areas was set up at the booth, to which we received messages from a number of people. Mr. Leiji Matsumoto, an Honorary Citizen of Nerima City, who was invited to Annecy International Animation Film Festival this year visited our booth and wrote a message. This message board will be available for viewing at "Nerima Anime PR exhibition" from August 23 to September 2, located at the Atrium, ground floor Nerima City Hall.

Also other PR activities were carried out such as Nerima Anime Assc. staff member dressed in Samurai costume passing out the original novelty items, which drew lots of attention and ended up covering the front page of the local newspaper.
